The conference main venue is the faculty of architecture of the University of Granada, located at the foot of the Alhambra. This is one of the historical buildings belonging to the university. It was the palace of the Mendoza, one of the most important noble families in Renaissance Spain and much involved in music patronage in the city.

This large building offers an attractive and practical combination of history and modernity. It includes bright and spacious halls, several conference rooms fitted with air conditioning, a number of relaxing courtyards with fountains and beautiful views, a Renaissance chapel, and a main hall for plenary sessions.
